Do you wear glasses to drive? This is for you…

It is NOT mandatory by law to carry spare glasses in your car.
For years, people thought it was — but currently, there’s no regulation in the General Traffic Law that requires keeping a second pair in your vehicle.
Police can’t fine you for not carrying spare glasses.
However, if your driver’s license shows the code “01” (mandatory visual correction), you must wear glasses or contact lenses while driving. Otherwise, you can be fined.
Recommendation: Even if it’s not a legal requirement, keeping a spare pair of glasses is a smart idea for your own safety… just not by law!
