Important Reminder for Drivers in Spain

🚫 Curtains, fabrics, and even tinted windows are NOT allowed in vehicles registered in Spain in front windows!

These elements are considered illegal as they obstruct visibility and pose a safety risk according to the Spanish Traffic Regulations.

🌍 What about foreign vehicles?

If your vehicle is registered in another country and you’re in Spain on vacation or in transit:

✅ Your country’s window tint laws will be respected ONLY for the tint on the glass.

❌ However, temporary additions like curtains, nets, or fabrics (like the ones shown in the photo) are strictly prohibited while driving on Spanish roads.

📜 Why?

Because all vehicles circulating in Spain—regardless of origin—must comply with the General Traffic Regulation concerning visibility and driver safety.

✅ Tips for compliance:

Use legal sunshades in the back windows that are easily removable and do not obstruct the driver’s view.

Never use improvised solutions like cloths or curtains while driving.

If in doubt, remove any object that reduces visibility before hitting the road.

Drive safe and stay legal!

Your safety—and that of others—comes first.
