UK & Spain Now Share Traffic Violation Data!

Did you know the British and Spanish governments have signed an agreement to exchange information on road safety offences?

This means that if you commit certain traffic violations while driving in Spain, you may receive a fine directly at your home in the UK!

Offences covered by the agreement include:

Speeding

Failing to stop at a red light

Drink driving

Driving under the influence of drugs

Using a mobile phone while driving

Not wearing a seatbelt or helmet

Using a restricted lane

Spain will provide the UK with vehicle and driver data so fines and notifications can be delivered even if you’re already back home.

This agreement is also in place between Spain and most EU countries. So no matter where you’re from, driving safely in Spain is a must!
