Avoid Fines You’re Not Responsible For!

Let the DGT know who’s REALLY driving your car ![]()
If someone else will be the regular driver of your vehicle for more than 30 days (or more than 3 days in case of rentals), you can notify the DGT ![]()
That way, when there’s a fine or traffic violation, the authorities will contact the regular driver directly instead of you — the owner. Much more convenient!
The regular driver must be informed and give consent, but this simple step avoids unnecessary notifications and helps protect everyone’s rights.
Perfect if a friend or family member is visiting for an extended period and you’ll let them use your car.
