Important to Know when Towing a Trailer

Did you know that if you are towing any form of trailer or a caravan, you must carry a fire extinguisher in the vehicle

When towing a trailer, it is mandatory to carry a fire extinguisher, but the type of extinguisher depends on the size and type of vehicle being used:

For a *light trailer* (up to 3,500 kg maximum authorized weight), *a 1 kg powder extinguisher* is sufficient.

For a *heavier trailer* (over 3,500 kg maximum authorized weight), it is recommended to carry *a 2 kg powder extinguisher*.

It is important that the extinguisher is certified and in good working condition to comply with road safety regulations.
