Motorbikes on the Hard Shoulder

Although many motorcyclists are still waiting for permission to use hard shoulders during traffic jams, the Government has launched a **pilot test** allowing cars to do so on the AP-4 motorway in Seville .

From Saturday, 9 August, the Cádiz-bound hard shoulder between kilometres 41.12 and 44.5 will be opened occasionally during peak traffic to improve safety and flow, especially on one of the most congested stretches leading to the Cádiz coast .

The Ministry of Transport and the DGT carried out adaptation works beforehand , making this a pioneering measure within a temporary traffic management strategy for high-demand periods.
