Vehicles without a valid ITV will no longer be able to renew their insurance due to a new legal change that affects millions of drivers in Spain

Under the new amendment, insurance companies will be required to check if a vehicle has passed the ITV before renewing its insurance policy.

If the vehicle has not passed inspection, the insurer must notify the driver in writing and will only allow a temporary insurance, not a standard one.
