This summer, Pegasus helicopters and drones will be watching from above!

The Spanish Traffic Authority (DGT) is intensifying its surveillance during the summer months to detect dangerous driving behaviours on the road.

Both Pegasus helicopters and traffic drones will be flying over highways and secondary roads to identify:

Speeding

Reckless overtaking

Mobile phone use while driving

Not wearing a seatbelt

Illegal maneuvers or distractions

These airborne units are equipped with high-definition cameras and radar technology capable of detecting offences from hundreds of meters away — even at high speeds.

If you’re caught by one of these eyes in the sky, you can expect a fine to arrive at your home shortly after.
