We keep getting this question, so here’s the answer:

UK licence holders who will visit us this summer in Spain…

DO NOT need an International Driving Permit (IDP) to drive here.

Your valid UK photocard driving licence is enough to rent and drive a vehicle legally in Spain.

This applies for short stays (up to 6 months) as a tourist.

Make sure your licence is still valid, and you’re good to go!
