Thinking of buying a V-16 emergency light? Read this first!

If you’re browsing online, you’ve probably noticed a big price difference between V-16 lights. At N332 – Spanish Traffic Law, we want to help you understand why:

🔸 Basic V-16 model – 💡 Under €20

This was the first version released.

Emits a flashing amber light to warn other drivers of your position.

✅ Valid until January 1, 2026.

Does not include geolocation.

🔹 V-16 with geolocation –

📡 Around €50

Includes a Vodafone SIM card.

When activated, it sends your location to the DGT in real time.

Your position appears on the DGT map for other drivers — even without visual contact.

🆗 Only this version will be valid after January 1, 2026.

⚠️ Be careful with cheap offers or non-certified products — especially imported models that don’t meet Spanish regulations.

🛑 From 2026, only V-16 lights with geolocation will be allowed in vehicles.
