Do You Know What These Codes Mean on Your Driving Licence?

(Most people don’t… but they should!)

On the back of your driving licence, there’s a section called “12. Codes” — and it contains important information about your medical driving restrictions.

For example:

01.01 = You must wear glasses when driving

01.02 = You must use contact lenses

01.06 = You can use either glasses or contacts

If you have these codes, driving without glasses or lenses is illegal and could result in fines or loss of insurance coverage!

Many drivers don’t even realize they have this requirement — so check your licence today and make sure you’re complying with the rules.
