A VADO is NOT a Private Parking Space

Remember, a VADO is not the same as a private parking space. It is simply a
reserved area that gives you unobstructed access to your garage or property.
If the police see a vehicle parked in your VADO—even if you’re the owner of the VADO—and issue a ticket, you will still have to pay the fine. This is because the VADO does not give you exclusive parking rights; it only ensures that you can enter or exit your garage without obstruction.
The primary purpose of a VADO is to secure access to your property. If another vehicle parks in your VADO, you have the right to call the police, who can issue a fine
AND tow the vehicle
. However, if you don’t have a VADO, the police cannot tow the vehicle because it is technically parked legally, and there’s no designated space protecting your garage access.
