Important: Helmet Cameras Are NOT Legal

Recording cameras mounted directly on helmets — whether with screws, brackets, or Velcro — are not legal. This is because they alter the structure of the helmet, which is a certified safety device that has passed strict impact absorption tests.

By adding a camera, the helmet no longer functions as originally tested and designed. In fact, in the event of an accident, some camera mounts could even worsen injuries.

Where can you mount a camera legally?

You may install cameras on other parts of the motorcycle, as long as:

✅ They do not obstruct your vision 👁️

✅ They do not restrict your freedom of movement 🏍️💨

Recording cameras are only allowed on helmets that come with a specific certification from the manufacturer — meaning the helmet and camera have been tested and approved together as a single safety unit.

If the camera wasn’t part of the original approval process, the helmet is no longer compliant and its safety performance cannot be guaranteed.

In the image above, we show you a helmet that has been officially certified with an integrated camera.
